Kurt Angle has quit the WWE. Let me just say thank god.

Though there was still so much for him to do, he can now take some time to heal his broken body and hopefully make way for a return in the future. If he doesn't return, no big deal. His legacy is cemented. If he wants he can probably take a match or two in Japan and get a huge payday. Unlike Lesnar, Angle makes good on his commitments. When you are as beat up as Kurt Angle you really need a lot of time off. And believe me, he's earned it. A six year career that is better than most 20 year careers. See ya in a few, Mr. Angle.

So live, in East Windsor. It's KENTA & Naomichi Marufuji vs The Brisoces. HO-LEE SHE-IT!!!! That's sure to be some hard-hitting, power-move fun. CAN'T WAIT. PLUS, Ring of Honor is returning to Braintree (Boston), so I'll be going to that show too! KENTA will be at that one again. Yippee, twice in one year I get to see that masterpiece.

Now, you remember that post where I demanded comments? It sucked, I got rid of it. I only got two comments, although it was great because they were from two people I didn't expect and that effectively doubled my expected readership! So tip of the hat to those two, but a wag of the finger to the other two who I know read but didn't comment. That post seemed like pandering, and in the end I wanted it gone.

Summer's almost over, for better or worse. Who can tell, though I look forward to getting back to classes. It'll occupy my time with something that is much more productive than the borderline nothing I do now.

Wrestling...
Nothing's happening. Hiroyoshi Tenzan won the G1 Climax for the third time in four years. Why didn't I make some huge post about it with victory pictures and Tenzan holding the trophy, you ask? Because I couldn't care less. New Japan is so dead to me, and this tournament seemed so boring to me that I was very disinterested in the winner. Tenzan is pretty much damaged goods from all his aborted title reigns, thank you very much Antonio Inoki, you asshole. Luckily Inoki isn't in power, so maybe NJPW can do something with Tenzan's win here. He has a title shot in September, which hopefully he'll lose. That's the only way to make Tanahashi look any good. He was almost a complete failure in the G1, and was made to look like a midcarder champion. He needs to beat Tenzan, who looks strong going undefeated in the G1.

The final match was Tenzan vs Kojima III or IV. From what I've heard, it is better than the 58-minute match the two had for the Quad Crown. Everyone knew Kojima was going to be in the final, thank god it wasn't Prince Albert/A-Train/Giant Bernard. Anyway, I will try and see the final match sometime. Sounds extremely interesting.

August 10... it's Antonio Banderas' birthday! And Devon Aoki! Also it's my birthday, I guess. I managed to survive one more year. Yay?
