Wrestlemania XXI predictions! I hate WWE!

I just had to add that last part because I didn't wanna sound liyke a hiyck. Anyway, I won't be able to watch Smackdown! like I planned, but it sounds shitty anyway. Except for London's title win, that would rule... even though he wins it the same way Gail Kim did. Gold on London, even ROH didn't do that. Wrestlemania predictions! Add your own in comments if you want.

Triple H vs Batista
Doesn't seem like a hard one to pick, but Trips is Trips and he's fooled us before. Everyone thought 100% RVD or Booker T would beat him, but alas they failed to break the glass. Still, Dave has gotten too much of a push to just fail. He's a big, muscle freak, just what Vinnie likes.
Winner - Batista

JBL vs John Cena
Two title changes in one night? I sure as shit hope so.
Winner - John Cena

Edge vs Christian vs Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho vs Kane
So, so, so, so, so possibly good. If only Kane were someone, y'know, good. Oh well, looks to be one of the possible showstealers. These first five will go to any length to put on a quality match. Benjamin is a future major champion in my eyes. I'd like to think someone good will win... but I don't. I think the worst of all will win.
Winner - Kane

Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels
Oh mighty Aphrodite what great creation thou has bestowed upon us all! Holy Macaroni! This will without a doubt be a spectacular match. Sure it would've been better a few years ago, and Michaels is on and off nowadays. But damned if this won't be a top contender for match of the year. These two are gods of wrestling, men who have classics, men who carry matches that have no right to be good but are. This is... perfect. Well actually Kurt Angle vs Bret Hart would be perfect, but not gonna happen. HBK wins the big ones so I say him, but really we all win.
Winner - Shawn Michaels

Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero
This has the potential to be the match of the night and a real showstealer. Eddie and Rey work perfectly together, and I think they will put themselves into overdrive to produce a good match. Kinda sucks that despite Eddie being one of the most popular wrestlers in the E, Vinnie just sorta ignores him.
Winner - Eddie Guerrero

Trish Stratus vs Christy something
Don't care
Winner - Redneck hicks that have a new kid every 9 months and beat said kids

Big Show vs Akebono
If they had to pick a K1 guy for Wrestlemania why not Bob Sapp? HEY BOB SAPP PLEASE! WWE must be where legendary Sumo grand champions go to die. Big Show should stand no chance.
Winner - Akebono

Undertaker vs Randy Orton
This really goes along with the whole legend killer stuff, but still it's hard to say that Orton will be the one to take down Taker's record. Plus nobody's sure whether they like Orton or not. Is he a heel or isn't he? Trips did a good job killing this kid that was full of potential, that jezebel. I know Cowboy Bob Orton will get involved. If Trips, Flair, Michaels, Show, Kane and most importantly Big Bossman couldn't take him out at WM than Orton can't. Because when the gong hits, we're all 12-years old again.
Winner - Undertaker

The Best RAW in Years!

So I decided that I may as well watch the big Wrestlemania lead-in RAW episode, best decision ever! It has been quite some time since I've watched a full episode of RAW, over a year I'm sure. Most times I have it on but don't watch, tonight I watched. The buildup for Batista vs Triple H is incredible. Batista is a legitimate threat, and he was built up very well. The people absolutely LOVE Batista. They showed a video package of the story between Trips and Batista... damn that was great stuff. I give credit to the E now, they clearly have a major match going. That half-Filipino Batista had better win that title. There was a video package for The Undertaker that showed in all his dark glory all of his past Wrestlemania wins. All that old school deadman Undertaker stuff was really nostalgic. The lights going off, the ring lighting on fire and the gongs... oh those gongs. I thought that Randy Orton was either going to be forgotten for Wrestlemania or thrown in to something crappy, but they managed to hand him a good match that goes along with his gimmick of the legend killer.Angle was on RAW! He interfered in HBK's match. Nothing much else, I just know that match is going to be killer. Those two should really light up the placeNotice I haven't really talked about matches yet? Well that's because this show was all about Wrestlemania, and I must say that it sold it well. If I was stupid enough to pay for PPVs anymore I would consider it. But I don't pay for wrestling unless I'm live. There was one great match, and it involved the participants of the ladder match of course. Edge, Christian & Tyson Tomko lost to Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Shelton Benjamin. This was a decent match for WWE and better than any random 6-Man scramble in ROH. Chris Benoit busted open his head pretty good and bled a lot for a TV taping. In the finisher rush at the end Shelton Benjamin hit a cool Exploder/Belly-to-Belly and Tyson Tomko nearly killed Benjamin with a Glory Kick.So overall very good lead-in show. I'll watch Smackdown to see how they do, then I'll make my predictions for Wrestlemania on Friday or Saturday.

My latest interest... Pro Cycling

I know, it surprised me too. Really it started last summer when I had that horrible sunburn and couldn't do anything except sit on my ass. It just so happened the Tour de France was happening, so I ended up watching that every day. I really got interested in it, not just for the cycling but also for the sweeping shots of all these amazing scenes in France. Then the race ended and I stopped watching.
Then the new racing 'season' started up a while ago, and I started watching again at the beginning of March or so.
I'm not entirely certain why I like it, but I do. It's a sport due to the demanding physicality of it, putting crap like Nascar to shame. I definately didn't jump on the Lance Armstrong bandwagon and I'm not really interested in him. He sort of bores me. Yes I know he beat cancer and then broke the Tour de France win record, good for him. Everyone knew it would happen, and it's nice that it did so one of us dirty Yanks can reign on top of that. Still, I can't pinpoint why I like cycling. I haven't even ridden a bike in like 5 years. But then again, I bet I couldn't pinpoint why I like wrestling so much.
Every Sunday I actually look forward to watching 'Cyclism Sundays' on... the Outdoor Life Network. Holy hell I want to watch something on OLN. Holy crap I just abbreviated the Outdoor Life Network.
Names are starting to ring in my head, names I'm not even sure of but that I've heard the announcer say in hilarious British dozens of times. Ivan Basso, Bobby Julich, Robbie McEwen, Jan Ullrich, Jose Azevado, Thor Hushovd, Erik Zabel. I don't even know these people, but I know there names.
I will continue to watch cycling every Sunday, and everyday of the Tour de France.

Our name was thieved!

Some damn hyperdeathmetal band stole the greatest tag team in the world's name! These Russians are a dirty sort, and they shall pay for this dearly.

Good stuff

Someone called me demented yesterday, and I don't think I've ever been so complimented before. Although personally I always considered myself simply paranoid schizophrenic. I have mental problems, I'll admit it, I'm partially insane. I'm half-mad, half-less mad. Good stuff.
On another note Ring of Honor is 100% confirmed, I just need to order the tickets. I know Low Ki won't be there but Bryan Danielson will and that's a big name to see as I think he could possibly dethrone Aries in the future. He'll likely be fighting Homicide, can you say god damn? We'll also be treated to Punk vs Rave and probably Aries vs Jamie Noble boy. Good stuff.

Billy Madison: Oh my God, Old Man Clemens hates shit.
Frank: Shh, here he comes.
Old Man Clemens: Who the hell is it? What do you want? Judas Priest, Barbara, it's one of those flaming bags again.
Barbara: Don't put it out with your boots, Ted.
Old Man Clemens: Don't tell me my business, Devil Woman. Call the fire department, this one's outta control. [Old Man Clemens steps on the bag, then lifts up his boot and smells]
Old Man Clemens: Eck, poop again.
Billy Madison: He called the shit "poop".
Frank: This is the best night of my life.
Old Man Clemens: I'll get you damn kids for this. You're all gonna die.

Extreme Championship Wrestling

ECW was the ultimate revolution in wrestling, it came at a time when wrestling was stagnant. It breathed life into an industry and became the ultimate underground wrestling movement. But I never knew about it in it's early days because I didn't watch wrestling, then when I started watching again in 1998 all I watched was the WWF. How stupid of me. I didn't catch wind of ECW until Steve told me about it in probably 2000, when they had a show on TNN. I only caught a few episodes before it was cancelled. Then the promotion died away in 2001. It was about that time I became VERY interested in ECW. Well tough shit, it's dead. So I was a fan too late for ECW. But I followed it, knowing I would never be able to truly follow it or more importantly see it live. But I never counted on the ECW reunion.
Hammerstein's Ballroom, June 2005.
I need to be there.

Sure I've checked and the seating is about 2700 max, and the absolute insanity I would have to go through to get tickets to this show and then somehow pull a Homer and get a ride to New York would be far too much too handle. Still, I need to try. It's too important. It's the absolute LAST chance in the history of the world to see ECW live. To see almost the entire "cast" there. The list of wrestlers returning is already staggering. Sabu, Sandman, Masato fucking Tanaka. This includes the ex-ECW people already on their roster. Rhyno, Tajiri, Dreamer, Dudleyz, Taz, RVD (won't wrestle) and all the rest.
This is the last chance noone expected. I have to at least try and plan it out, it's not until June.
If I don't end up going, hey that's just fine, it's me after all and what do I ever accomplish? But I need to try. This is ECW, this is why wrestling is good. To attend an ECW event in Hammerstein's ballroom chanting those three magic letters E-C-W, E-C-W, E-C-W, E-C-W... I MUST BE THERE!

Ireland Day

"Top o' the mornin' to ye on this gray, drizzly afternoon. Kent O'Brockman live on Main Street, where everyone is a little bit Irish. Except of course for the gays, and the Italians."

Tis a fine day to be of (partial) Irish descent! It's St. Patrick's Day, a day of celebrations and drunkeness. Celebrating being Irish by getting drunk as an Irishman. Of course those of us in the CM Punk circle of thought can just celebrate being Irish by getting into angry arguments for arbitrary reasons!
Descendants of the Emerald Isle should be proud to have overcome so much adversity, such as that potato famine that cut the population in half. Let's make this obscurelittle holiday num 1! So get out there and celebrate Irishness in all it's... glory!

The Adventures of Zed Ladd

The beginning of the wacky adventures of a man doomed to a fate of monkeys, skeletons and robots! What will happen? Who will die? Who will he meet? Will I ever write another one... no probably not... here it is!

CHAPTER CERO

"was" den Mann schrie, ", was wünschen?"
Blut? Er Esprit kam zu ihm zurück. War dieses Blut? Wo bin ich? "kennen Sie Ihren Namen?" die mechanische Stimme gebeten. Spricht sie mit mir? Nicht ist sie eine Aufnahme? Ja kenne ich meinen Namen. "das erste Niveau ist das härteste. Verständnis muß bestehen. Sie sind unser Leuchtfeuer."
"ich bin Zed, ich bin Zed Ladd."

Sick as a

I feel terrible today, all stuffed up and I feel like I'm gonna hurl. I don't even want to move. But it doesn't really matter, it happens and I'll deal with it. Just sucks that this is how Spring Break ends. I think I have a paper due or something, but I did read that book I had to read. Fields of Fire, very good book about the Vietnam War. Graphic depictions of life as a soldier.
Two more failed weeks in the job search, though I did put in a bunch of applications. I hope something happens.
I wish Ring of Honor would hurry up and post the card for Boston, even though it's probably too late to go once again. They wait forever to even tell you who's gonna be there that you just have to have faith that it'll be great and everyone you want will be there. Obviously they might put on a mediocre show and noone could show up and you travelled there for pretty much nothing. I know it takes time to contract everyone for a show, but they should give you more than 2 or 3 weeks notice on what there card is. I want to go to another show before a year has gone by from the last one.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms - The Movie!

I just found out that a movie is in the works based on the Battle of Chi Bi that happened during the Three Kingdoms era of China. I always figured that the era was too big to be overlooked by moviemakers for so long. Luckily it's being made by a Hong Kong team and it's going to be directed by John Woo! This truly has me excited, and I didn't believe it when I first read about it. Seems to be real though, even has an IMDB entry. But then again so does the Boondock Saints fake sequel.
I've heard Woo wants Chow Yun Fat to play Liu Bei and Jet Li to play Zhou Yu. And like every movie made in China in the past 7ish years, Zhang Ziyi will be in it of course. Who will be Cao Cao? What actor is evil enough? I know John Woo will make this movie great, Hero or Crouching Tiger level.
Of course this movie will come out in 2007 at the earliest, 2008 more likely. It'll be worth the wait for what I expect to be a true masterpiece. Embrace Asian films America, or just keep on watching the Diary of a Mad Black Woman and the Pacifier you sheep.

Picture picture

This picture is one of the best I've personally taken yet. I must give credit to Professor Joe for spotting this picture and telling me to take it. A lot of the other pictures I took came out blurry, meaning more experimentation with my camera is needed.

Rain, Sleet, Freezing Snow

It rained today, that was the good part. If it would have kept raining it would've been fine. The snow would've been conquered by the rain. Yet I forgot this was Maine, so winter isn't finished with us just yet. Damnable sleet, damnable freezing snow, damnable cold. That's right, the rain turned into freezing snow. Real fun.
So it looks like spring isn't here yet, and I expect spring to arrive by around June. Maine winters aren't so bad, I just wish they weren't so long. End! END DAMN YOU!

FUCK BLOG

I just typed up some super fucking long post, but one goddamned glitch fucking deleted the whole goddamn thing.

That pisses me off.

I put effort into this shit, and for a one second "page failed to load" thing to delete it pisses me off. I pressed back and oop post deleted.

Fucking internet, this is why I hate it. You put effort into shit and it fails. Story of my life. Just another reason never to put effort into anything.

Kenta Kobashi down

Kenta Kobashi has lost the GHC Heavyweight title. That's right, his two year reign ended. He was beaten by Takeshi Rikio. He lost... the untouchable god of puroresu and of wrestling lost. The two greatest title reigns in years are over, as Samoa Joe lost his months ago and now Kobashi couldn't hold on any more. I guess Rikio was all NOAH had, their only chance for a future.
Kenta Kobashi's reign with the GHC title was one of the most impressive reigns I've ever personally witnessed. Almost every match for the title was great, especially against Akiyama. He managed to pull off great matches with Taue, Saito, Takayama, hell even Mike Awesome. It truly saddens me that it had to end. I'm sure he'll still be putting on great matches. He's been champion as long as I've been following Japanese wrestling, so this is a huge change. All kinds of crazy title things going on in Japan. Kojima 4-Crown, Rikio Global Honored Crown.
I hope that losing the title doesn't put an end to Kobashi's American tour. I've read that the American tour was so that he could put value on the GHC title, but now that he doesn't have it that couldn't be the point of a tour. Please Kobashi, come to America, come to Ring of Honor. And for the love of Hitler come to Boston.

Marge: C'mon, Homer, Japan will be fun. You like Rashoman.
Homer: That's not how I remember it. Besides, if we wanted to see Japanese people we could have gone to the zoo.
Marge: Homer!
Homer: What? The guy who washes the elephants is Japanese. His name is Takashi. He's in my book club.

RE4 - GOTY?

Yesterday I beat Resident Evil 4 for the Nintendo Dolphin and I must say that it is the best game on said system. Though I won't get into an in depth review of the game I will say that it will take a LOT to beat this for game of the year, but it's only March so we'll see. Final Fantasy XII looms on the horizon and will no doubt kick monkey ass.
Resident Evil 4 is completely different from any other RE, but that's not a bad thing. The game is genuinely very fun. And towards the end when you're going through all that industrial shit, it is really scary too. Oh and a fully powered up Broken Butterfly with 50 power is the shits yo.
Assignment Ada is proving very difficult and frustrating since a mind numbing zero enemies drop any goddamned ammo. I want my Chicago Typewriter!
The Mercenaries is a fun little diversion. Once you unlock the secret characters it gets really cool. Nothing like taking out 12 ganados with Krausers super mutant arm. And let me just say that Mr. Double Chainsaw is one of my most feared enemies ever, when I hear those chainsaws start in waterworld I piss myself. Then it smells like piss and fear.
Great game. Different, but very fun. At least one more play through will be necessary.

America vs Japan - Dream Matches

I was recently thinking about Kenta Kobashi coming to America and about who he could face, and it got me thinking what would be some of the best America vs Japan dream matches I could think up. So here's a short list of what I came up with.
Kenta Kobashi vs Samoa Joe - This would be a brutal, brutal classic. Both of them are willing to put on long matches and are willing to sacrafice themselves to put on a great show.
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Chris Jericho - I think this match would show the strong points of both of these workers, although both of them are on and off sometimes. Together they would really shine.
Triple H vs Keiji Muto - Because really, these guys both hate to lose.
Satoshi Kojima vs The Rock - Hey why not.
Kurt Angle vs Jun Akiyama - I just think the match would be really slick.
Jun Akiyama vs Taz - Old school ECW Taz T-Bone vs Akiyama exploder.
Naomichi Marufuji vs Rey Mysterio - If Rey worked his non-E style this would be great cruiser action.
CM Punk vs Shinjiro Ohtani - Punk has what it takes and Ohtani has what it takes, two cruisers that are successful heavys.
KENTA vs Low Ki - This WILL happen, if it hasn't already. Two stiff kicking motherfuckers.

That's all I could get off the top of my head, but there are soooo many more I would love to see.

Englishman: I say, Jeremy, isn't that Reginald B. Stifworth, the young upstart chap who's been touting the merits of a united European commonwealth?
Jeremy: Why yes, I daresay it is.
Englishman: Oh, let's get him. [They drive up]
Englishman: Oh Reginald... I disagree. [drives off]
